As a mother of three children, five grandchildren, and a Master’s Degree in Education with a specialization in Child Development, I understand the importance of finding a caring, nurturing, and loving learning environment for your child. This is one of the reasons I started Learning Ladder Academy seven years ago.

Each morning, the children are greeted with a hug and parents leave feeling comfortable knowing their child will be cared for and nurtured. I understand each child is different and because of this, I believe a home-based learning environment provides an opportunity for each child to receive the individual attention he or she needs.

Children learn and grow best when in a learning environment which promotes structure, is engaging, and has age-appropriate games, toys, and activities. I believe children learn from each other, which is why a multi-age learning environment encourages and supports development as children play and interact throughout the day.

A good parent/provider relationship is important, which also supports a child’s development. I take pride in building relationships with families of children in my program.

I believe a child’s early experiences enrich and stimulate future growth. Children deserve to be treated and respected as individuals in a learning environment, that welcomes reason, exploration, question, and imagination. My approach to a child’s learning is child-centered and child-directed.

I believe in whole child development!
